The Protea Hotel Pelican Bay overlooks one of the most important wetland areas on the African coastline, the Walvis Bay Lagoon. This beautiful strech of water is a Ramsar site protected by the Namibian government. It is only 15 km from the Walvis Bay Airport and 2 km from the town centre.
There are forty eight en-suite rooms and two suites, all overlooking the lagoon, with either a deck or a balcony. All rooms are air-conditioned, with eight channel television, safe, direct-dial telephone, tea/coffee making facilities, mini bar and hairdryer, work desk and computer port.
